These would have been easier if there had been a general description of the functions of the key lock and the electronic lock. The battery holder does not seem to fit well into the space behind the electronic lock - once I had found the small screw which needs to be removed to allows the electronic lock to be turned. I would expect the battery holder to clip into some sort of fixing but I could not see how to do this and have just left it loose behind the electronic lock. It fits perfectly in the spot I had chosen, and was relatively easy to secure to the wall with 6 Rawl bolts. The only hitch is that my mother-in-law's old .410 is a tad too long for the doorway and is difficult to get in and out. It would have been good to know the door aperture dimensions, as these are inevitably less than the overall cabinet height. The supplied foam barrel supports and stock cushion is adequate , but doesn't feel terribly long lasting - we will see.
